Celebrate National Flag Day
This Saturday, February 15th, Council is inviting members of the public to join them in celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Canadian Flag.
There will be performances from the cast of the Canadian-produced and internationally recognized show “Come From Away” based on the true story of how Newfoundland residents took in American airline passengers stranded by 9/11.
Show your Canadian pride and enjoy the skating party on Nathan Phillips Square after.

Mayor Olivia Chow and City of Toronto invite Torontonians to show their Canadian pride at celebration of National Flag of Canada Day
On Saturday, Mayor Olivia Chow will be joined by Toronto City Councillors and guests to celebrate National Flag of Canada Day at an event featuring a flag-raising ceremony and a special performance of “Welcome to the Rock” by the cast of the original Canadian production of the multi-award-winning global sensation Come From Away. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Canadian flag.
The public is invited to attend this free event, with attendees encouraged to show their Canadian pride by wearing red and white. Following the flag-raising ceremony, a skate party will take place on Nathan Phillips Square.
