Explore local in Riverside: Toronto’s small-town-in-the-big-city.
The Riverside Business Improvement Area is one of Toronto’s first BIAs, founded by passionate local business and property owners in 1980. Rich in culture, heritage, and art, the area has 100+ unique eateries, cafes, shops, attractions, and services – just across the bridge from downtown Toronto. Located along Queen Street East from the iconic Queen Street Viaduct (‘Riverside Bridge‘) to just east of the world famous De Grassi Street, and including south to Baseball Place and East Don Roadway.
It’s easy to get to Riverside by foot, bicycle, streetcar (504, 501) or car – we’re located between Corktown and Leslieville, just seconds from the Don Valley Parkway, and only 15 minutes from Toronto’s downtown core.
Spanning 10 vibrant tree-lined blocks, Riverside is home to many historic sites, over four acres of parkland, The Broadview Hotel, The Opera House, Bonjour Brioche, Eastbound Brewing Co. Here you can find original designs and vintage fashion, eclectic retail, curated coffee shops, and award-winning restaurants for every taste, along with community centres and services.
Come any time of year to enjoy over 30 vibrant street art installations, and seasonally to experience outdoor patios, festivals and local artisans markets, and guided walking tours.
We look forward to welcoming you to Riverside!
