Report details stakeholder engagement processes and outcomes.
Mississauga, ON – February 28, 2017. The Ontario Business Improvement Area Association (OBIAA) and the Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) today announced the release of the Return ON Investment of BIAs Consultation Report.
This important study, funded with the support of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, will identify the common success factors needed by BIAs, industry and government to assess the contribution of BIAs to their communities, and establish benchmark metrics against which to measure future progress. The Consultation Report provides important information on how stakeholders were engaged in determining the indicators and gaining initial data.
“The Consultation Report looks at the extensive engagement process that we undertook -- which included surveys, interviews, focus groups, emails, social media, webinars and other methods – to understand the key indicators that we need to consistently measure throughout the coming years,” said Kay Matthews, Executive Director of OBIAA. “This Report also starts the conversation about how we’re going to engage with our stakeholders during the next several years to keep enthusiasm high and get the data we need.”
The Consultation Report considers the challenges of data gathering in the future and how consultation will be the key in sustaining this important initiative. The Report, produced by 360 Collective, effectively introduces the final report, which will be launched at the 2017 BIA National Conference in April 2017 at the Westin Prince Toronto.
